In 2023

the Special Project on Climate Change Education was created. SMILE has been working to form climate change research results and taking the initiative to share China’s experience at international conferences.

On the evening of July 14, 2023

the first Climate Change Education Workshop was held online.

On the evening of August 20, 2023

the second Climate Change Education Workshop was held online.

On December 12, 2023

the first seminar on "Collaborative Development of Climate Change Education in Schools, Families and Societies" was held at Mingqiang Primary School of Qibao, Minhang District, Shanghai.

On September 15, 2023

the first batch of research results of climate change education had their first centralized presentation to national peers at the 2023 National Live Conference on the Reconstruction of Students’ Summer Life and Early Semester Life on the theme of Collaboration, Empowerment and Creation.

On March 1, 2024

the Second Seminar on Climate Change Education through Collaboration between Schools, Families and Society was held at Longhutang Experimental Primary School in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The conference gathered more strength from government departments, research institutes and academic insti

On April 26, 2024

the 2024 Shanghai Climate Week for Climate Change Education Forum was held at East China Normal University (ECNU). More abundant case results have been exchanged. The pattern of multi-sectoral and multi-principal cooperation has been further stabilized.

In mid-May 2024

SMILE formally submitted an application to establish the East China Normal University (ECNU) Climate Change Education Laboratory.

In August 2024

SMILE negotiated with Save the Children International on Climate Change Education Program Cooperation.

In November 2024

the Third Seminar on School-Family-Society Collaboration on Climate Change Education (School-Enterprise Collaboration Session) was jointly organized by SMILE and other organizations and was held in Qianjing Primary School, Jinshan District, Shanghai, on November 25th, 2024.

In March 2025

The Fourth Symposium on School-Family-Society Collaboration in Climate Change Education and the Tenth Anniversary Summary of "Hello, Winter Vacation!" was jointly organized by SMILE and other organizations and was held at the Huanhu Primary School Education Group in Chancheng District, Foshan City.
