Shanghai, as member of Global Network Learning Cities (GNLC) and coordinator city in the cluster of Education for Sustainable Development(ESD), has been actively promoting the localization of international lifelong education experiences and the globalization of Chinese practices since 2019. To further integrate global and domestic expertise, strengthen exchanges among core international cities in the ESD Cluster, and support the construction oflifelong education knowledge system, the 13th Lifelong Education Shanghai Forum will be held in late September 2025. Guided by the Lifelong Education Division of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and organized by Shanghai Municipal Institute for Lifelong Education (SMILE), this forum continues the tradition of the previous 12 editions. We sincerely invite submissions from colleagues both at home and abroad. Relevant authors will be invited to attend and make speeches at the conference based on the submissions. The relevant details are as follows:

iv. Framework Development and Field Research on Sustainable Development Competency for Various Groups
v. Green Concepts in Traditional Local Culture and Contemporary Transformation
vi. Experiences of Education for Sustainable Development in Member Cities of the Global Network of Learning Cities
vii. International Exchange and Cooperation Mechanisms for ESD
viii. Monitoring and Evaluation of ESD Effectiveness
Ⅲ. Submission Requirements
i. Carry out the research using reasonable methods, and discuss with solid reasoning and evidence.
ii. The format of paper should comply with academic paper specifications and be over 4,000 words. Especially, papers of more than 10,000 words are highly encouraged..
iii. When submitting a paper in Chinese, you need to submit the title, abstract and keywords in English. It is better to submit the full paper in both English and Chinese.
Ⅳ. Paper Format
i. Papers are standardized as electronic Word documents and are typeset in A4.
ii. The title of the manuscript should be in bold two-point bold, centered, andgenerally no more than 20 words; the subtitle should be in Arial; the author should be below the title, the author's name should be in four-point Times New Roman, with one space between multiple authors, and the author's profile (name, gender, full name of the organization, title/position, and contact phone number) should be typed in the form of a footnote on the first page of the article.
iii. Abstracts are in five-point Times New Roman; keywords are in five-point Times New Roman, spaced by ";".
iv. The main text is in five-point Times New Roman font; the first-level headings are centered in four-point bold and ordered by one, two, three,...; the second-level headings are in five-point Times New Romanfont and ordered by (a) (b) (c) ....
v. Figures are in six-point Times New Roman, with the sequence of figures and titles placed under the figures; tables are in six-point Times New Roman, with the sequence of tables and titles placed directly above the tables.
vi. References are written in five-point Times New Roman; documents are written in small five-point Times New Roman and are numbered in square brackets.
