Author:SMILETime:2025-03-25

Focusing on Educational Gerontology, the Laboratory is dedicated to updating the traditional concept of life cycle, studying the healthy growth and comprehensive development of the elderly from the perspective of social and individual interaction, and highlighting the important role of the elderly as active learners and social participants. Through interdisciplinary research in education, cognitive psychology, medicine, sociology, and cultural anthropology, the lab focuses on the construction of a theoretical system of “educational gerontology”, in-depth exploration of the role identity and subjective development of “social participation of the elderly”, and the promotion of “mental health and well-being” to improve the health and well-being of the elderly. It also promotes the study of “active health” to enhance mental health and happiness. The lab focuses on transforming basic research results into pedagogical practice, promoting theoretical innovation and practical application in the field of gerontological education and active health, and providing systematic solutions to the challenges of an aging society and promoting the sustainable development of individuals.
