Zhang Yong

Deputy Director of the Institute of Vocational and Adult Education, Faculty of Education, East China Normal University; Ph.D., Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor; Researcher at the Institute of Life-Practice Educology; Part-time Researcher at the Shanghai Municipal Institute for Lifelong Education and at Institute of Educational Science, Jiangsu Open University. Fulbright Research Scholar at Vanderbilt University in the United States and Visiting Scholar at Roskilde University in Denmark. His primary research focuses on adult learning and education, community development and community education, home-school-community collaboration, lifelong education policy, and digital workplace learning. He also holds several concurrent academic appointments, including Member of the Academic Committee of the China Adult Education Association, Executive Council Member of the Theoretical Research Committee for Adult Higher Education of the China Adult Education Association, and Executive Council Member of the Family Education Committee of the China Association of Higher Education. He has completed two projects as the principal investigator for the National Education Science Planning Program and has published over 80 academic papers. He is the author of five monographs, including Responsibility and Symbiosis: Home-School-Community Collaboration from the Perspective of Life-Practice Pedagogy and Theory of Community Education Development.
